Reducing the carbon footprint further
During the 25-year life cycle that these photovoltaic power stations are expected to run, they will reduce CO2 emissions by an estimated 2,703 metric tonnes compared to the current power solution. Our Shanghai photovoltaic power generation currently accounts for 11% of our total electricity consumption, and will soon account for an estimated 14% of the total electricity consumption in Jiangmen. In addition to the positive environmental effects of photovoltaic power generation, the solar panels on the roof create a thermal insulation effect. This in turn reduces energy consumption from the air-conditioning system, also reducing emissions.
During the next five years, we will seek out more opportunities to install more Photovoltaic projects across more sites to reduce our carbon footprint even further.
