SHV Energy acquires E.ON Gasol Sverige AB strengthening its position in the Scandinavian and Baltic LPG markets

The acquisition of E.ON Gasol complements Primagaz’ existing cylinder business in Sweden by adding a strong market position in the industrial bulk business. The addition of E.ON Gasol to the Primagaz family makes Primagaz one of the leading suppliers of LPG in Sweden offering customers both cylinder and bulk supply options along with access to both bioLPG and LNG. The capacity of the Karlshamn terminal will allow for strategic supply of LPG to Poland and other European markets.

Primagaz Chief Executive Officer for Scandinavia, Duncan Osborne, says: “We are delighted to include the E.ON Gasol business in Karlshamn into the Primagaz family. They will now – through Primagaz in Scandinavia and our parent company SHV Energy – become part of the world’s largest and most widespread distributor of LPG. We operate in over 25 countries across 4 continents providing LPG and LNG along with bioLPG solutions to all types of customers.”

E.ON Gasol will continue to operate out of Karlshamn with the current team maintaining the high levels of operational excellence and customer support. During the coming months, there will be a gradual transition to Primagaz, with E.ON Gasol expected to be fully integrated into Primagaz by the end of 2019.
