Brazil reduces waste in the filling process

Brazil reduces waste in the filling processcut

The new Green Head Project in Brazil is helping us reduce waste in our filling process. A new self-cleaning head now saves 30g of LPG per filling for each 13kg domestic cylinder, resulting in 200 times fewer emissions at the moment of disconnection.

48 tonnes of LPG savings each month

What does this mean? Our biggest filling plant is Duque de Caxias, where we fill approximately 65000 P13 cylinders each day. The new approach translates into almost 48 tonnes of LPG savings per month. This system also reduces the risk of explosion, and increases air quality around the filling plant, creating a cleaner and safer environment. 20 of our carrousels across 11 filling plants now use this technology, and we plan to install green heads in most of our filling plants.
